As a Community Impact Project (CIP), will indirect costs still be covered by the grant?
An organization funded as a CIP can include indirect costs in the program budget as long as the appropriate documentation (e.g., approved indirect cost rate agreement, de minimis certification, etc.) is provided.
When will we be notified if our organization is being awarded?
Your organization will receive notification, typically in mid-June, of whether it has been selected to move to program design phase. CIPs will move through the program design process before building out a budget and then a services agreement will be put into place.
NOTE: funding through the RFA process to be a Community Impact Project is not a federal award. Organizations selected to be a CIP in FY26 are contracted service providers that deliver programming designed and overseen by MFF.

When does the program year begin?
We follow the federal fiscal year. Fiscal year 2026 starts October 1, 2025.
Is there a cap on the budget?
You do not submit a budget with your application. Organizations that meet requirements and are selected to move through the program design process will receive a budget (capped at $250,000 per federal regulations) built to align with their scope of work. The idea is for MFF to design a “right sized” program that fits community and organizational needs and to build an aligned budget.
Is there a list of organizations who are currently funded by Michigan Fitness Foundation?
Yes, there are two ways to access this information.
- The Map to Healthy Living, map2healthyliving.org, which you can filter down to the site level for where programming is taking place.
- Current Partners list, snap-ed.michiganfitness.org/current-partners, includes the organizations delivering SNAP-Ed in Fiscal Year (FY) 2025.
