The Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Request for Applications (RFA) for Community Impact Projects is now open!
Organizations receiving funding through the RFA process are Community Impact Project Contractors (CIPs) that provide local SNAP-Ed programming as a contracted service directed by Michigan Fitness Foundation (MFF). See criteria below.
Process
Organizations interested in implementing a Community Impact Project in FY 2026 (October 1, 2025-September 30, 2026) must complete and submit the required application documents.

Organizations interested in becoming a Community Impact Project in FY 2026 (October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026) apply as a Returning Community Impact Project or as a New Community Impact Project.
For organizations that are currently funded in FY 2025 by SNAP-Ed at MFF, apply by clicking the “Returning Community Impact Projects” button at the bottom of the page.
For organizations that are not currently funded in FY 2025 by SNAP-Ed at MFF, apply by clicking the “New Community Impact Projects” button at the bottom of the page.
Community Impact Project Contractor Criteria
Organizations funded as a Community Impact Project Contractor, must demonstrate:
- Organizational ability and expertise to:
- Deliver SNAP-Ed program as directed by MFF
- Engage with SNAP-Ed audiences and provide programming in setting(s) where SNAP-Ed audiences live, learn, eat, play, work, and shop.
- Offer direct education programming
- Conduct community-based strategy work
- Participate in required evaluation and reporting
- Use a collaborative approach to achieving goals
- Ability to meet the criteria listed in the Attestation Letter (Click to download a Word document) (for organizations with SNAP-Ed funding in FY25 or Requirements Confirmation form (Click to download a Word document) (for organizations with no SNAP-Ed funding in FY25).
- Commitment to conduct all programming and reporting in alignment with SNAP-Ed guidance outlined in the FY25 CIP Service Provider Guide.
- Ability to participate in a reimbursement grant where organizations are reimbursed for allowable program costs, including staff time and effort, after they have been incurred and paid.
- Have an accounting system that, at a minimum, consists of a chart of accounts, cash receipts journal, cash disbursements journal, and general ledger.
Note: All funding is contingent on the availability of funds and any needed approvals by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Funding is expected to become increasingly limited; therefore, duplicative funding for similar programming must be avoided.
