NEW Community Impact Projects

About

Organizations not currently funded in FY 2024 by SNAP-Ed at MFF that are interested in becoming a Community Impact Project in FY 2025 (October 1, 2024-September 30, 2025) must apply by submitting a Letter of Qualification and the New Community Impact Projects Application in the Submit Application(Click link to open section) tab.

The application solicits responses from eligible Michigan-based organizations to deliver a coordinated Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) program as a contracted service to MFF. The focus of SNAP-Ed at MFF is to increase healthy behaviors and improve policies, systems, and environments that impact access to affordable healthy food and safe opportunities to be active.

Applicants that meet eligibility criteria and successfully move through a SNAP-Ed program design process directed by MFF will be funded in alignment with anticipated programming and based on the availability of funds.

Funding as a Community Impact Project is for organizations that:

  • Work with eligible populations in eligible settings (See FY24 CIP Service Provider Guide (Links to PDF in new window or right click to download) for details)
  • Are interested in delivering local SNAP-Ed programming as a contracted service to MFF that includes direct education and PSE change work aligned with the identified population(s) needs and setting(s)
  • May have limited capacity to meet the requirements of being a federal grant subrecipient administratively or programmatically

Process

Download and complete all the required documents in the Documents (Click link to open section) tab. Be sure to carefully read all instructions and review the FAQs before completing your application.

Submit your complete application, including all required documents, electronically using the form in the Submit Application (Click link to open section) tab by June 3, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. EST.

MFF will review applications to determine if they meet required eligibility criteria and notify applicants of acceptance. Eligible applicants will then, as directed by MFF, inform a locally-relevant SNAP-Ed program package, timeline, and budget matched to priority population(s) needs and setting(s). Final funding amount will be determined by program design and aligned with anticipated programming.
